Under the terms of the agreement The Woodlands engineering company will design and build storage facilities for Quito Ecuador-based Flota’s liquefied petroleum gas marine terminal in Monteverde Ecuador. CB&I (NYSE: CBI) will engineer procure fabricate and construct several refrigerated storage tanks and spheres with a total capacity exceeding 650000 barrels. The company expects the project to be completed in 2010.

City approves engineering for South Wastewater Plant

The council voted unanimously to approve the signing of two deals with lsson and Associates engineering firm to begin work on the plant. During negotiations engineers pitched a two-plan approach to addressing the issues at the plant. They said the hill located on the west side of the south end of the plant needs to be stabilized before expansion of the plant can begin. Engineer Jeff Thorn said the north train of the plant’s system will have to be completely shut down and the plant will have to rely only on the south train. Thorn said they want to make sure the south end is stable before moving on.

Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. The Houston engineering firm will work on an ammonium nitrate plant being developed by. KBR (NYSE: KBR) will work on both the process units and the utilities and offsites for the plant which will be at Carbon Holdings’ proposed petrochemical complex. The company has already worked on the prefeasibility and pre-feed studies for the complex’s proposed plants.
