The centre was first opened in July 2004 with an initial investment of 850 million baht and serves as Honda’s motorcycle development hub for the Asia and ceania region. He also said the Brampton plant will expand its capabilities by building right- and left-side steering models and adding a diesel version. Chrysler is seeking an undisclosed amount of government aid. It said the investment could reach $1. 4 billion for engineering development retooling and upgrades. Chrysler’s Brampton plant had fallen on hard times earlier this decade as the popularity of its LH series of cars including the Intrepid and Concorde waned. The plant lost a shift and 1000 jobs but bounced back when a new model the Chrysler 300 – a big blocky sedan with a bossy grille that features German engineering a powerful HEMI engine roomy interior and ultra-smooth ride – became a surprise sales hit in 2004. The investment and other moves which the Star reported earlier this week follows a 10-per-cent improvement in productivity at the plant in the last year plus a concession of some $5000 annually in premiums by workers in March.
