Alstom to Develop C2 Capture Plant

The company chose La Porte because of the proximity to its customer base and distribution network. "This facility will give us better capabilities to service the customer base in the greater Houston area" said Airgas Southwest President Brent Sparks. The parent company based in Pennsylvania is the largest distributor of industrial medical and specialty gasses and related materials and the largest producer of nitrous oxide and dry ice in the nation. Airgas is also the third-largest distributor of safety products in the United States.
