The women line of clothes and accessories consists of jeans dungarees knit shirts sweatshirts outerwear and accessories including the iconic Carhartt Detroit Jacket and Sandstone Work Dungarees. To ensure that the women clothing line and accessories meet the same demanding standards as Carhartt’s existing workwear Carhartt had women in a variety of fields give real-world torture tests to the new products then interviewed the testers and examined their test garments for potential issues. The new clothes and accessories have been perfected after more than a year and a half of interviews with working women design testing in real-world environments and feedback from product testers.

The new facility came on stream and is a world-scale plant with an annual capacity of 45000 metric tons. It is one of the most modern compounding plants in the world today with the highest environmental standards and the most efficient production capabilities available. Alongside this new plant in Shanghai; BASF has similar compounding facilities in Malaysia and Korea which are part of BASF’s global network of engineering plastics and compounding plants. This network covers other countries in Europe North and Central America… This network covers other countries in Europe North and Central America. With the new plant BASF’s total compounding capacity in Asia exceeds 100000 metric tons per annum. BASF has also set up a Technical Center for engineering plastics in Shanghai where its engineers design and optimize new engineering plastic parts in close cooperation with customers. The development support ranges from computer aided engineering in the initial design phase to component tests in the trial and launch phase. Further services comprise a state-of-the-art molding laboratory offering processing seminars to customers. This Technical Center in Shanghai is part of BASF’s global and Asian network for engineering plastics – other such centers operate in Greater Nagoya in Japan and Seoul in South Korea.

BP eyes $2bn clean coal plant
The Australian – May 21, 2007
The proposed 500 megawatt power station will be developed by their new partnership company Hydrogen Energy which will be more expensive than conventional coal fired power and require government policies or regulation to get the technology to market. If it proceeds the proposed industrial-scale station will gasify coal to produce hydrogen and carbon dioxide with the hydrogen used to fuel the power station and around 90 per cent of the carbon dioxide captured and stored permanently in a saline formation underneath the seabed off the Perth coastline. Subject to detailed engineering review a final investment decision to develop the project could be made as early as 2011 with the project coming into operation after a three year construction period. The project’s gasification facility and power station would be located in Kwinana 45km south of Perth alongside BP’s refinery and Rio Tinto’s HIsmelt facility. Plans are also underway for the proposed development of two other hydrogen power projects at Peterhead Scotland and at Carson California USA. For further information on Hydrogen Energy see:.
